What is an Energuide Home Evaluation?
An Energuide evaluation is typically a two part process. First, an energy advisor will measure your home and perform a blower door test on your home to test the home's air leakage. Insulation values of all exterior surfaces will be assessed. You will have a chance to discuss your home's energy efficiency and your planned upgrades. You will then receive an EnerGuide rating and a report stating the potential savings for completing various upgrades to your home. When you are ready, an advisor will return to perform another blower door test and verify your upgrades. At this point, you may be eligible for incentives from the government based on the improvements.
